The chair of the graduate group is responsible for the overall administration and operation of the graduate group. The chair can assist with high-level and confidential matters.

MCIP Graduate Advisors

Graduate Advisors (also called Academic Advisors) are essential in providing graduate students with an excellent educational experience. They have program signature authority to approve certain forms, petitions and nominations of student committees. Academic advisors consult with students applying for admission, provide coursework and research mentor guidance for students prior to candidacy, and maintain contact with students after candidacy to ensure good progress and a working relationship with the research mentor.

Students are assigned a specific Graduate Advisor when joining the graduate group. If you are unsure who you advisor is, contact your graduate program coordinator.
